Why You Were Born
As a writer, I may not know the day you were born, but I do know why you were born!
You were no accident of birth. You were created on purpose, for a purpose.
Two Important Days In Your Life
Mark Twain, the famous American author, once said: "The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born."
Do you know why you were born?
Made By Him And For Him
The Bible says that you were made by God and for God.
You were made to know Him personally, to love Him, to worship Him, to serve Him and to enjoy Him forever. You were made to be in a relationship with God and to have fellowship with Him.
But God will not force you to do any of this. It's your choice!
Why You Were Born
You were born to glorify God.
You were born to be a blessing to others. You were born to be a light in the darkness. You were born to be a witness of God's love and grace. You were born to make a difference in the world.
You were born to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, to follow Him, to learn from Him, to obey Him and to share His message of salvation with others.
You were born to be a part of God's family, the Church, to fellowship with other believers, to grow in your faith and to serve God together with others.
You were never intended to live apart from your loving Heavenly Father.
Made In The Image Of God
You were made in the image of God.
You were made to be like God in character, in righteousness and holiness, in love and mercy, in creativity and productivity, in joy and peace. You were made to reflect God's glory and to represent Him on the Earth.
God Has A Plan For Your Life
God has a plan and He wants you to be part of it.
He wants to bring hope, passion and purpose to your life.
God has a unique plan for your life and a role for you to play in His plan.
He has a purpose for your existence. He has a destiny for you to fulfil. He has a mission for you to accomplish. He has a calling for you to answer.
The Great Commission
Jesus said: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)
Jesus Is Standing At The Door Of Your Heart
Jesus said: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)
Jesus wants you to live life more abundantly, to have life in all its fullness, to have the life that He always planned for you.
Will you open your heart to Jesus and receive Him as your Lord and Saviour?
Only He is the way to God and to eternal life. Only He can give you the abundant life you were born to live.
